Our motto is not just a collection of words, it was formed by all that the band does.

Wight Diamonds is a community band formed in 2000. We operate as both a concert band and as a marching band with members from various backgrounds, ages and abilities playing in one or both capacities.

Each year we participate in a variety of events on the Island and the Mainland including carnivals, fetes, bandstands, concerts and private events.

You’ve got three chances to see us this week so there’s no excuse to miss us!

We’ll be taking part in Shanklin Carnival on Wednesday 1st August which moves off from Popham Road at 7 pm and Shanklin Illuminated Carnival on Saturday 4th August which starts at 9:00 pm.

If you’ve never seen an illuminated carnival before, you’re in for a real treat. Floats, bands and walking groups process through the town, lit with hundreds of multi-coloured lights – it really is a sight to behold!

We’ll also be doing an arena display at Chale Show on Saturday 4th August at 12:10 pm so come along and you never know, you might get a chance to have a go at marching with us!
